 Hello there, welcome......to my sanctuary....I bet you are just curious as to who I am... Well, I was born in Belize, C.A and lived there until I was 12 years old, then my parents decided to uproot us and bring us to the good old US of A...I currently reside in Southern California and though I love California, I am very much a Belizean.....Belize and Belizeans are very special....
 I am a child at christmas time, I love everything about christmas....I love the warm fuzzy feeling I get inside when I see a child eyes light up as they walk thru the shopping center, I love the crisp evenings, the fragrance of the fresh christmas trees, the homes decorated with beautiful colorful lights and decorations, I love the way strangers smile at each other as they hurry and buzzle with their christmas packages... I just love CHRISTMAS :-)
At home, I start decorating the week of thanksgiving and while I'm busy preparing thankgiving dinner the night before thanksgiving, the kichen filled with the wonderful aroma of turkey, pies, and cakes cooking, I turn on my stereo, put on my christmas music and decorate my christmas tree.
Christmas, for my family is a large gathering, I come from a family of five, one sister, three brothers, and we all have children and now my brother's children have children of their own... Yes, a large gathering!
We all meet at mom's and each family brings their favorite dish and we come together and have a family meal....I have wonderful memories of family gatherings at christmas, as I got older, these family gatherings have become a tradition with us and we tend to feel the loss when one of us is unable to attend this wonderful gathering. Each year, one of children is chosen to do the blessing at our meal , and each year my mom the wonderful mother that she is [who has been up since dawn] prepares the main course, my speciality, the cakes, my sister, the side dish, my sister-in-law, the potato salad and the men?.......WELL, the music, the football games, the tasters :-), but, we have fun, we dance, we laugh alot, then, WE CLEAN mom's kitchen and sit around and catch up on each others lives......
Well, I wonder what Santa is bringing me this year?....
My wish this christmas, that every child in the world gets a visit from Santa, a warm hug and lots of love....that we, all people in the world, can learn to love one another and accept the difference that makes each one of us unique... FOR UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN, NAMED JESUS AND SO WE CELEBRATE HIS BIRTH.....
MERRY, CHRISTMAS and A HAPPY, HAPPY NEW YEAR....
